Century Old Coach House Conversion to Stylish Two Bedroom Suite

UNFINISHED BRICK WALL DIRT AND PLYWOOD FLOORS

FINISHED RENOVATED SPACE

Hard to believe that this unique two level space was created from its humble beginnings as an old carriage house!  We were given the challenge of designing a two level floor plan in a fairly tight space.  Every square foot was used – including tucking a tiny powder room under the stairs.  An upper closet was built to hose a stackable washer and dryer.  To further save space, the combination heating cooling system was installed in a rear bricked closet which was then insulated.  The owner requested that we keep the original wood beams to maintain some of the classic character of the building.  A French door with sidelights and an entrance canopy with coach lights add prominence to the entrance.  This timeless suite is a great example of creating value for previously unrentable space!
